Generally speaking, I am (and have been) a big fan of Hard Rock since the 80s. The New Orleans Hard Rock is one of the best I have been to - and I have (now) been to 6. The food was fast, warm and very good. The service was fast and really friendly - and as a special bonus, checking in on Yelp! gave us $5 off!
As far as food goes, the menu is what you would expect from the Hard Rock - no surprised here. The store has some nice New Orleans specific items in it if you are a collector, like me. -

Hard Rock Café in New Orleans, on bourbon street, among all the parties going on.
There is nothing wrong with the place, regular menu (very little vegetarian options) and the staff is really nice. The place is decorated as a regular Hard Rock Cafe place, quite a few presentation going on.
What surprised us the most was how cold it was inside and dirty both bathrooms (men and women) were.
The bbq burger and onions rings were good and well portioned. The vegetarian fajitas as well, no complaint on the food. -

It's the waiting game...
We came here for an early dinner while walking along Bourbon Street. Seating was scarce but the hostess asked if we didn't mind sitting at a high top table there was one available so we took it. We were given menus by the hostess and we were brought a couple of glasses of water but it took a while for our waiter to come by our table. I had to flag the hostess to ask if someone will be taking our orders soon. We had a haunted tour to catch at 5:00p.
After awhile our waiter finally came very apologetic. He took our orders down... that took awhile too. My Cookies & Cream Milkshake came first. It was cool, it came in a mini milk bottle. It's supposed to have booze in it. It was all this w/o the alcohol: Absolut Vanilla Vodka, vanilla bean ice cream, white chocolate and Oreo® cookies, with whipped cream and a chocolate Oreo® churro. I know, I'm no fun #enjoyresponsibly
Hubby had the Whiskey Bacon Jam Sliders. Yass! he scarfed those mini burgers down. He said it was good! Must've been that added homemade Jack Daniels Whiskey bacon jam!
It took another while just to get our bill. Our waiter checked on us once as we were done with our food and he didn't have our bill ready. I told him we were ready to pay, he took my credit card. Shortly after, the manager came to our table and said that he took care of our bill. He probably realized that service was not their standard? I actually didn't mind since I was distracted from posting pics on my phone. Also, our waiter may be new but It was a nice gesture that we appreciated from the manager and we thanked him. Our waiter returned with my card and we were on our merry way.
Poor wait service but good customer service.

So check this out, the food was awesome, the service was awesome and I saved $5.00 because of my Yelp check in. We have been in New Orleans for about a week and I just wanted some normal food. Don't get me wrong, the turtle soup, pow boys and jambalaya has been great but after a while I just wanted a burger and some crispy onion rings!!

It's was a typical chain restaurant, service was okay, except the hostess and bartender were openly arguing with one another out loud. The legendary burger was okay, but the sauce on the side was tasty. The decor was interesting to look at.
